A Thankful Heart

It’s the week of Thanksgiving and my kids have the week off from school.

I am thankful for these days at home with them.

This week we pulled out the Christmas decorations and put up the tree!

There is so much about Christmas time that I love. The beautiful decorations, the fun with family and friends, the music! I love Christmas music everything from Bing Crosby to Toby Mac.

So, we turn on the Christmas music and decorate the house for Christmas.

While all these things are fun lets never forget what Christmas is really about.

The night our God, the one who created heaven and earth by His very word, came to this earth to make a way for us to be in Heaven with Him because of His great love for us.

We headed out to Granny’s farm on Thanksgiving. The kids enjoy getting to run around outside and play with the pony (when Granny has a farm she gets the grandkids a pony).

Father thank you for this time when we get a break from our daily routine and enjoy time together. As we stop and give thanks for all the good gifts that you have given us. I am most thankful for the gift of Jesus. Help us to keep a thankful heart as we head into this holiday season.
