Rejoice with those who Rejoice

Celebrate Those We Love

This past Sunday was a precious friend’s birthday.

I wanted to do something that was meaningful and would make her feel special.

I love to celebrate my friends.

I love to make them feel special and loved.

A Special Gift

On Saturday night I was starting to get things ready for church the next morning.

I love our prayer time on Sunday mornings.

Earlier in the year, my friend led us to pray over one another. This was an amazing thing to share.

As I thought of this I didn’t remember a time that we did this for her.

I texted a couple of friends and asked if they remembered getting to pray over her.

They didn’t.

Prayer Time

I said; “we should pray over our friend and what better day than her birthday”

We were able to do just that the next morning. It was such a precious time.

I hope that it helped make her day special.

Rejoice with those who rejoice -Romans 12:15a

Paul tells us to rejoice with those who rejoice.

When something good happens for another we shouldn’t be jealous or feel left out.

Celebrate with her!

In doing this we are honoring what God is doing in her life.

As Christians, we are to be known for our love for one another.

Jesus told us “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35).

In praying over our friend we were rejoicing with her and giving thanks for the life God has given her.

My Challange

Who can you rejoice with today?

What can you do to make another feel loved and special?

How are you going to bless someone in your life today?

Thank you, Father, for my precious friend. Her friendship in my life is truly a blessing. May I rejoice with those who are rejoicing around me. Thank you that we got to celebrate with our friend by praying over her. It is the blood of Christ that bonds us as sisters. May it be known that I am yours because of my love for others.
