Time To Celebrate!

This is August! it is a month of celebration for my family.

We have birthdays every week!

Including my husband’s and mine.

We used to think we wanted a baby born in August too. We have 2 in February and 1 in May. I give up I’m not trying again.

Life is Precious

I was reminded recently how precious is and how we aren’t promised tomorrow.

Whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. -James 1:14

We should celebrate each Birthday God has gives us.

I’m personally hoping we can so some of this celebrating at Babe’s Chicken!

I am trying to drop hints to the husband… someone go point them out to him, please.

As I celebrate the marker of another Birthday it is a time of reflection of where I have been and how far I have come. It is also a time to look forward to goals I have now.

A Vantage Point

This is something that is often seen in the many festivals and memorials in the Old Testament.

They served as makers of where the people of Israel have been and how far God has brought them.

Last night we were reading the story of Isreal crossing the Jorden River and building the memorial of the 12 stones (Joshua ch3 & 4). A reminder that God once again opened the waters for them to cross on dry ground (the 1st time was at the Red Sea- Exodus 14).

From here they could look back at where they had been but also look forward as they are ready to go in and began to concur the promised land.

Father, thank you for this month that is full of celebrations. Thank you for a marker to pause and look at how far you have brought me and still look forward to tomorrow. Let me remember that today is a gift from you and that none of us is promised tomorrow. Let me treasure the time I have with my family and friends. Let me make the time I have here count and bring you glory.

~Amen

As per your comment for “celebrate every birthday God has given us” I totally agree. I’m turning 30 next year and I have finally taken that phrase into consideration. I’ve always have lowsy birthdays and have let people ruin them for me. Next year I’m planning a trip all for myself. ❤️

Such a positive and full of hope post it is. And I completely agree with you about celebrating each birthday and be thankful to God for this life. By the way, August is my birthday month too. Wishing you and your husband a very happy birthday well in advance. God bless!

What a month to celebrate!! Wow! We have 2 birthdays in Sept, 2 in Nov, and 2 in Jan, so we’re a little more spread out, but still the Sep-Jan window is nuts! 🙂 Happy birthday to your crew!

Such a beautiful post! Some dread the coming of their next birthday as another year older, instead of seeing it as another blessing on this earth and another opportunity to grow, learn, and inspire. Thank you for the wonderful reminder as my birthday rapidly approaches lol.

    Cheers!
