All My Time

All My Time…

With the change of kids starting school last year many asked me “what are you going to do with all your time?”

In a conversation with a good friend she looked at me and told me something that has sat on my heart. She (knowing my servant’s heart) said; “don’t get so busy that you miss why God has given you this time”.

Time for all the things

I didn’t know what was ahead of us in the coming months. The first reason why I was given this time was to take care of all the things my children would need.

It took most of the fall semester to set up Grace’s special education plan and adjust to what works for her. I am so happy with what we have in place for her.

Next, my time was used for the many doctor’s appointments that Anna and Jonathan would need as their diagnosis of hearing loss and his selective mutism came in.

We’ve gone to more doctor’s appointments in the last 6 months then I have my entire life!!!

while these are tiring and draining it also means they are getting the best care I can get them.

Mixed in the Spring semester was a blessing. I was given the opportunity to serve on a Mastermind team for Chrystal Evans Hurt (go check her out she is great!).

This was such a blessing because there was a lot that I had to do. A lot I really didn’t like doing but I did because I needed to be done.

Masterminds was something I wanted to do. It was something I enjoyed doing. I looked forward to doing and hoped that I was a help to Chrystal. It was work but it was work I enjoyed.

This is where all that “extra” time I was going to have while the kids went to school went. It was given to me for a reason and I hoped that I used it well.

Summer Time

Now it’s summer…

Doctor’s appointments have slowed down (thankfully)

I don’t have to get kids to and from school every day.

and I have a new gig.

I have been looking for something to do that would allow me to be the mom I needed to be and still make a little money.

My Schedule is demanding with 3 kids who all have special needs and just the everyday family life, church, and school.

My bestie from high school had been working with Beautycounter for about a year. I could see that she liked it and was doing well. What resonated with her also resonated with me.

The question “have you ever thought about what is in the products you use?”

I had never thought about what was in products I was using or that any of it wasn’t good for you and even harmful.

Beautycounter

I quickly learned that there are many harmful ingredients that are used everyday.

This is something Beautycounter calls the never list. It is ingredients that are known to be harmful or very questionable and they promise to never use in their products.

As a mom, I want to give my kids the best I can.

I want to use what is safer and good for my kids and for me too.

Beautycounter is all about having safer, clean products.

More than just make up there is something for everyone;

Kid Products, Baby Porducts, Sun Screen, Skin Care and yes! amamzing Make up

As a Mom

As a Mom, I love knowing that there are no harmful chemicals or hormone disrupters in Beautycounter it is safe for my tween daughter. She is 12 and I don’t need anything messing with her hormones!!!

So beautiful! Love this honest timeline of all the challenges of life but seeing that your children rise to the top. My girls are mostly grown… but they always remember the time!

Oh man, those words from your friend were SO full of wisdom! I stay unbelievably busy with my 2 special needs kiddos and working from home. If God gives me ANY free time, I’m going to make sure I spend it wisely – not busting myself with more. Thanks for sharing!
