Saturdays in Pajamas

All week we have to get up and go. Schools days are busy.
But Saturdays, we don’t do much of anything. Most Saturdays kids don’t even get out of their pajamas (and sometimes I don’t either, ha ha). They get their Saturday showers and then they get into clean pajamas. Today has been one of those Saturdays.
There is always something to do but Saturday is my day to sit back and relax. I get to spend the days with my kids. Not trying to get ready and run off somewhere we just sit at home. We play games, maybe watch a movie together, just enjoy time together doing nothing.
This is our Saturdays in pajamas.

I know one day these kids will be grown and Saturdays won’t be the same. So, today I will be thankful for these days sitting of around doing nothing with them.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind Palm 107:1, 8
I am thankful for the time that God gives me this time with my kids.
Some of my friends, who have grown children, tell me “treasure this time”. When I was first told this I really didn’t get it. It is a hard thing to see when your life consist of changing diapers, having to get up in the middle of the night and you are lucky to get a shower. Now that my kids are starting to get older, I am starting to see the wisdom of this advice. My oldest is moving up to the youth group next month! (how did that happen???) I am trying to remember to enjoy the moments these kids still need mommy’s help. But I am looking forward to the day that the only person I need to shower is myself!!! I am enjoying them being little and also I am enjoying watching them grow.
My Praryer
Father thank you for the privilege of being a mother, for the children you have blessed us with. Help me to remember the time I have with them is a gift from you. Help me to teach them well. I pray that I live out my faith in a way that will point them to you. Thank you for our Saturdays in pajamas.
In Jesus name, Amen
